Review of Social Economy
Aims and scope
For over sixty years the Review of Social Economy has published high quality peer-reviewed papers on the many relationships between social values and economics. Among the subjects addressed are income distribution, justice and equity, poverty, cooperation, human dignity, labour, workplace organization, gender, need, the environment, economic institutions, economics methodology and class. Among the orientations of the Review's authors are social and socio-economics, institutionalist, cooperativist, Post-Marxist and radical, feminist, Post Keynesian, behavioralist, and environmentalist. The Review welcomes discussion about pluralism in economics and about the relation between economics and other social sciences, including sociology, geography, political science, and anthropology - indeed the Review is an obvious platform for interdisciplinary research to be staged.
Submission Information
Since May 2006, the Review of Social Economy has accepted manuscripts via the Manuscript Central electronic-submission system. Manuscript Central is the market leader in web-based systems to handle manuscripts submitted to peer review journals, and is used by many journals in a large number of disciplines. Advantages of the MC platform are:
- It is easy-to-use yet also flexible. (For example, a cover letter to the editor can be submitted with a manuscript)
- It enables authors to track their manuscripts through the editorial process.
- Referees can use the website to download manuscripts and upload their comments and recommendations.
- Automated reporting systems enable editors to track and manage manuscript flows systematically, reducing chances of delay in the review process.
Manuscripts already in the editorial pipeline will not be moved over into the MC system.
